call me, beep me, if you want to reach me

directus:

A perfect disguise, this zippered hardcover Macbook sleeve dresses up your laptop as a book. Each BookBook is brought to life with hand craftsmanship and distressing, ensuring no two are exactly alike.
$79

This is amazing and somewhat ironic. We have replaced books with laptops, not completely yet, but some day I think books may become the papyri and scrolls of the past. Not even taking into account society’s shrinking attention span and growing desire for ACTION, SEX, COLORS, NOW. We are ruled by the middle class and the middle class has never been arbiters of taste so much as consumers of.. well anything. We’re a society of Pac Men and Mrs. Pac Men gobbling up everything that’s easy to get first. Anyway, it’s ironic that this is a laptop disguised as a book.. the very name BookBook.. makes me laugh, and if it doesn’t make you laugh well.. your loss.
